The Weekend Refresher 10/23-10/29
It’s Saturday again! I truly believe that if I blink, another week goes by, and we find ourselves at the weekend again. And, at least for me, when I’m at Saturday morning, my hope is that these two days before me don’t disappear before I know it like the other five days this week! Wow! Who decided time could go so fast? It’s quite alarming, really. Nevertheless, it was a good week! So, without further ado, let me reveal the good week as I give you The Weekend Refresher! Sunday Dinner Idea: Linguine with Almond Pesto and Beans
This meal is for the frugal pesto lover. I found that even though I’m a front row fan of Pine Nuts, Almonds can be just as rewarding in a pesto sauce. This was a delicious pasta dish using beans for additional protein in place of chicken. You certainly could use chicken or shrimp and that would fit quite nicely, too!

Too Bad We Ate Them All! *Jen’s Best Photo Award*
Every time I went to look at my pictures on my camera between October 20 and October 25, the first one’s I’d see were these beauties of the cupcakes that I built for Eli’s third birthday! I had to share them and how they came to be. And, they are so pretty! That is why I give this post the award for best photo!

This one just made me laugh. If I may say anything about this week and the posts that came with it, it’s that there were some pretty funny ones. This one included. I told Chris that I could quite possibly risk loosing some readers with it, but that was the risk I was willing to take, because I think its funny and I’m certain I haven’t gone off the deep end! 🙂 I got the idea to write this one based on this week’s poll question about what is posted to the outside of your fridge. I had been wanting to bake with pumpkin for a while after seeing so many recipes floating around that include this most popular ingredient right now!
