It was about 1:15 this afternoon when I was this close (picture my thumb and forefinger a nickle-distance apart) to asking Chris to go get the shovel from the garage to scoop Eli and I up. We were without any energy. And, I couldn’t believe that we still had an hour to go before picking Logan up from school. Was it the dropping barometer? Maybe. Was it the mighty winds outside that was making our sorts all out of place? Perhaps. Could it have been Wednesday funk? It’s possible. All of the above could quite possibly have been the culprit. But, with an afternoon ahead of me and a full night of work looming, I had to get it together! So did my Eli!
Enter: Dairy Queen!
After the pick up we went for a pick up in the form of DQ soft serve!
Woo HOO!
Logan enjoyed eating his from the bottom…whatever! Quite standard procedure for a 7-year-old I think!
Mmmm, this is soo good!
Still going at it…getting messy soon.
I see you!
Um, Mom? Don’t even think about asking me for a bite. You already had your’s!
It was a delightful outing…something we don’t normally do after school. But, I guess the boost it gave us didn’t last that long. Eli couldn’t even stay awake through the 8-minute drive home and Logan would have drifted off too had it been a 10-minute drive!
