A Guitar and a Friend

I’ll let you in on a little glimpse of a more personal moment in our lives from yesterday evening. Normally, maybe, I would spare you the mush, but this time it is appropriate for me to share it in order to fully portray the glory of what happened. Here we go. While Chris and I were cleaning up after dinner, a favorite song came on and we began to slow dance, even though it wasn’t actually a slow song. We laughed because we reminded ourselves of the couple at the high school prom who danced slow to every single last song, slow or not. Well, there we were, dancing in the kitchen, and of course I grew emotional because I am female and that is what we do a lot of the time. We were certainly in a moment, when all of a sudden, the kids started to come up the stairs and, well, this happened:

Switch!

I think God gave us children for moments like this. To remind us that we’re OK. Just grab your guitar and a friend and start dancing.
