Happy Fall! And, Happy Field Day! Last year, field day was held on a very cold, ridiculously windy day in the early spring. We couldn’t have asked for a better early fall day for it today!
Let’s get lined up…
This morning after he woke up, Logan was sure he couldn’t possibly participate in field day, let alone run as fast as he could because he was too tired. I think he’ll be OK.
This is the Freedom Falcon. Nothing like a good mascot to get the day started. Last year, one sweet girl in Logan’s kindergarten class was painfully afraid of him.
Logan and his sweet friends. One old friend on the left, one new one on the right.
Of course I couldn’t expect them to just stay with nice smiles!
Logan had to flip this “pancake” on the paddle.
Eli wasn’t quite sure about it…
Until one of Logan’s classmates befriended him and let him practice with her.
This was a very sibling-friendly event. Eli got to get a light saber painted on his face, just like the big guys.
There’s those goofy kids and their tongues again!
“Go slow, guys!”
This was when Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” was playing on the loud speaker. It was 1980s-themed music for the festivities. Logan wanted to dance so badly, but didn’t want to be the only one. I told him I’d dance with him, but that was a no – go.
