It was just a couple of hours before I had to say my good-byes to my sister yesterday that the realization actually set in that she was leaving to go back to California today. Boo. We had been enjoying our time together so much for the last week that I became used to having her around. I guess it’s a good thing that her leaving was the furthest thing from my mind – up until it was time of course. I sure do feel sad that she doesn’t live in Colorado anymore. I guess this happens though. Not all siblings stay living close to one another. I wish I knew when the next time we’d get to see her would be…until then, I have these fun pics to remind me of our great times! I thought I might share them with you! Meet my sister, Erin!
We were so fortunate that it actually snowed…a lot…while she was here! She said she can’t even remember the last time she was in the snow–let alone play and go sledding in it!
We even got to enjoy a variety of Colorado weather! When it became warm enough again, we enjoyed a day at Garden of the Gods!
It’s nice to be reminded that this beautiful park is in the same city that I live in!
She absolutely loved it!
So did the boys!
They were wearing their helmets because they brought their scooters, by the way…although, they were a good idea after all, what with all the rock climbing around!
Smile! You’re in the rocks!
She’s my little sister, you know. Eight years my little sister! Hehe! Crazy!!
Oh yea, sister and brother (in law!) Good thing he’s known her since she was 10!! They are so much like a real brother and sister!
Love you, Erin! Hurry back! 😉
Jen, thank you so much for the pictures. They’re wonderful. I miss you all so very much.
Love you all!!!
Dad
Yay!! I feel so honored to be featured on your blog!
I miss you so much too!!
… only thing missing on the blog is the lizard! hehe!
Love you!
Here visiting from Mom Loop Friday Follow! This post caught my eye … and I have a little sister that’s 8 years my little sister too! She just moved back closer after being in LA for 5 years and it is so nice to have her back. (here’s to another visit soon with your sister!)
Wow! Thanks so much for checking out my site and especially leaving a comment that has left me feeling hopeful that maybe she would move closer some day! And what a coincidence that your sister was in LA, too! I always love hearing about others who share the 8-year sibling age gap! Maybe we should start a group or something! Best to you, and thanks again!
