I went out to dinner with my family this weekend and I discovered this cool thing that I could do with my straw! I could make the cherry root beer go half way up the straw and then make it stop there! Sometimes I could make it stay without my mouth on the straw! It was pretty easy to do. First, I sucked up some soda and then I held it in my mouth and then I put it back in the straw. And part of it stayed!
I will for sure practice this more at home!
Maybe I will even try to teach my brother! I will help him do it.
A note from his mom: Logan has been wanting to participate in a blog post for quite some time now and when he experienced this new trick for the first time on Saturday, it occurred to us both that this was going to be it!
I’m quite excited for him-as this is a major child-hood discovery! I remember doing it, do you? I might have to practice it myself again…not that I promote “playing” with our food or drink at the table, but this is pretty minor, I think. And besides what kid wouldn’t feel empowered to have such control over the whereabouts and journey of his soda within the straw?
Good work Logan! You will have to teach me how to do that next time I see you! Love you!
Logan says, “Thank you so much for the note and I will teach you how to do it next time you come over!”
What fun, Logan! What other scientific experiments
will you be writing about?
“Logan says, “Thank you for the note! I will probably be doing a blubber experiment. I will be sure and tell you about it once I see if it works!”
