There is snow falling right now outside my window. I announced to my family a couple days ago that I believed we would see the first snow of the season this weekend! And, while the kids showed great excitement at the possibility, Chris felt like it wasn’t quite time. But, alas, I was right! What’s my prize? Well, I guess a neighborhood covered in white is good enough for me.
A week ago, we were still melting from 80 degree temperatures and now the heat has been kicked on in my house and I find myself curled up in a blanket watching the snow fall outside.
From one end of the week to the other, here’s what made its way up on my blog. And, in case you happened to miss one, don’t despair! I give you the Weekend Refresher!
Sunday, October 2
Sunday Dinner: Ravioli with Sage-Walnut Butter: A super easy ravioli dish that will make you feel like a fancy chef in a five-star restaurant. Just don’t forget to carefully watch the honey-balsamic sauce…
Monday, October 3
Just a Hug: How does a mom’s heart feel when her oldest guy runs to her after school, making her feel like she’s in for the hug of the century, only to be handed a back pack and told the words, “Can I go play?”
Tuesday, October 4
Quite Possibly the First Ever Fall Leaf Craft: Is Eli old enough to enjoy the fall leaf craft of collecting leaves from outside, placing them under a sheet of paper and coloring on top to create a print?
Wednesday, October 5
Peeking Through a Mouth Window: These kids are loosing teeth left and right! If it happens while they’re at school, they get to wear their teeth around their necks! A new first grade fashion?
Thursday, October 6
Chocolate Whoopie Pies + Oreos + Jr. Mints + M&Ms = Super adorable Owl Cookies! While everything else this week was either heart felt or amusing to write, these right here get my award for best post because they are so stinking cute and I can’t stop looking at them. (But I did when I ate them!)
Friday, October 7
Creative Captions 10/7/11: Two guys. A hat stand. Sunshine. What’s your creative caption?
Thanks for checking back! Have a super weekend! I love my readers!
Cheers!
