It feels kind of good to be back at The Weekend Refresher! I’m certain it was at least a month ago that I posted the last one! I don’t need to tell you that the four weeks between the beginning of December and the beginning of January are just a tad on the side of busy! (And they were!)

I wasn’t as excited last year for the NFL  post season as I find myself to be this year. I have to say that living in Colorado and pretty much being a native….well, I’m either a native or I’m not. It’s like being pregnant-you either are or your not…you’re not pretty much pregnant! Ha! Anyhow, considering I remember more of my life in this state than the one I was born in, I will claim the term native for my purposes. Thanks for that long moment just now.

Moving on… Living in Colorado, I haven’t always considered myself a fan of the Broncos. If they happen to be playing, I might enjoy seeing them gain a win (but not if it’s against the Packers, just sayin’), but if they don’t win it doesn’t negatively affect the rest of my week. However,  it was  last Sunday’s win against the Steelers that really set my play-off attitude of excitement in motion and I’d be with-holding the truth if I said I didn’t really hope they come away from tonight’s game against the Patriots with a “w” on their shirts. And, of course, all activity in my house will come to a stop at 2:30 tomorrow when the Pack take on the Giants. I love me some Eli Manning, but come-on…our blood runs green and gold over here!
